For some reason it thinks that my country is "nl", when it is actually "ru" ip is 95.165.148.xxx

Hi MuWire uses the GeoIP database to determine the country, so that database must be having an incorrect value for that IP range. Is this with MuWire 0.8.10? Which format - AppImage or Windows installer or .zip?

It is 0.8.10 windows installer

Ok with the windows installer you should be able to update the file manually. It is located in

C:\Program Files (x86)\MuWire\geoip\GeoLite2-Country.mmdb

One option is to wait until I release next MuWire version which should be in January. Or if you want you can register at https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geolite2-free-geolocation-data?lang=en and download the latest mmdb file.

Or if you just delete that file (make a backup first) MuWire should no longer try to guess which country it's running in.
