<small class="tagline"></small> not filled

Hello, I use the theme as a remote theme on my own fesh install of jekyll. However, the <small class="tagline"></small> is not getting filled with my description. I tried to add the line in the config header but it's not working. How can I add my custom slogan to<small class="tagline"></small>?
