This is good. I'll take the liberty to recommend a book called Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention, by J. Hari, It discusses research touching the topics your guide mentions, as well as the author's own experience doing an experiment where he tried to "unplug" from his typical hectic digital life. I honestly feel the books should be read in school, or its insights taught. I can't recommend it enough.
