For now, I've added this to 'About':

For now, node names are assigned manually. You can submit Pull Request to nodedb if you want to have your node named. In future this will be replaced by some reverse DNS system.

There is 'node info' proposal on http://transitiontech.ca/webdev under section '# If you are operating a webserver on port 80:'. Maybe this could be used.

Yes, could be Seems like, they used another file name. From my chat history: 23:01:40 @ircerr | try /nodeinfo.json

00:03 i'm surprised there are only 14 sites found using nodeinfo.json 00:03 are you hosting one? 00:03 and 4 of them are me...

Checking nodeinfo.json for hostnames would be cool. node.json as described on transitiontech.ca is the older proposal, and nodeinfo.json is the newer convention. There is at least one node that uses the node.json format at /nodeinfo.json, but for just getting hostnames they are the same.

I've created a scraper for nodeinfo.json for nodes on map. For now, I will run it only manually.

@zielmicha, can you run it now again please? or add that scraper in crontab to run per one day/week
