Checkbox to complete task
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It is very difficult to mark a task as done, and on top of that the app does not feel professional at all because the dropdowns do not use proper grammar ("Done task"??). The rest of the UI feels super professional but the button labels just completely throw me off.
Describe the solution you'd like I would like a checkbox next to the task, and I can just click that and the task will be marked as done. Takes only one click, feels professional, and is intuitive for me as a user.

"Done task" is grammatically correct. It's a reduction of "Done the task" composed of a past-participle, a definite article, and a noun (the direct object). It is an example of a zero article phrase.
To expound, there is no need to distinguish between indefinite and definite articles as it can be determined contextually. For that reason it can be safely omitted.
I'll leave the issue open as I do agree that a checkbox would make for better affordance in the design and would improve usability.
Personally I think it would be much better if it just said "Done", but I understand that it is technically grammatically correct though it definitely feels weird to me.
