Windows Defender warns of trojan (Portable Version 1.1.0)

I downloaded the portable version from releases. Windows Defender warns of trojan and automatically deletes the file. But the non-portable setup file had no warnings and installed correctly.

I honestly don't know about that @ReleaseTheKnowledge That might because the app was not signed.

I know this is an old issue but sometimes electron builder can get flagged up as this and usually they fix it with updates. So it'll likely be that.

Most scans like windows defender are quite basic scans so it is likely with common tools like this to randomly hit these sorta of issues.

Sadly as this is a free app it doesn't really make sense for us to get the code signing keys that would assists in stopping this. Though at least for places like apple the same license can be used both for signing desktop and mobile, windows can be more annoying with in some cases you need the physical key.

While if we look to do this in the future I have the physical keys or we can look at cloud based its not worth it for now at least.
