What are the means of scale and foregroundthreshold？

In my opinions, the scale means the resolution which the original data transforms to. (I am not sure is it right) And I think klt needs an parameter to descripe after how many frames, the feature points need to be recomputed. Is the foregroundthreshold is the parameter?
