Collapse keyboard button cancelling search

What Should Happen

It should only collapse the keyboard, leaving the search on screen, unobstructed by the keyboard overlay

What Happens

Tapping the Collapse Keyboard button (down arrow) also triggers the Back action, clearing the active search/filter

• Device: Samsung A54 5G (Stock)
• Android Version: 14
• Launcher: One UI 6.1
• Happens with both Samsung Keyboard and GBoard
• Happens with both Navigation modes (Gesture and 3-Button)
• Noticed it after updating Material Files from v1.6.2 (shown below on a A13 device) to v1.7.4

Same over there Samsung s24 that's the only thing I hate about the app, I use the search a lot

I have this too on Android 14. It only occurs for me when using 3 button navigation. Gesture navigation allows me to collapse the keyboard without cancelling the search.
