Installing on Ubiquiti Edgerouter-X

Open grasgruenit opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

I could successfully install ZeroTier One on an Edgerouter 8Pro, but not on a ER-X. Get following error: package architecture (mips) does not match system (mipsel) Is there a package for mipsel available?

Had the same result on my er-x

I understand the ER-X has a 32-bit mips chip, whereas the guide at https://docs.zerotier.com/devices/ubiquiti/ references zerotier-one_mips64.deb.

Hi found an answer following this guide (https://kruyt.org/zerotier-on-a-ubiquiti-edgerouter/) it worked.

This has been open for a while. Any chance of getting a mipsel package for ER-X? Seems like an oversight that this one platform among the Edgerouters isn't supported.

There are mipsel builds in the stretch Zerotier repo http://download.zerotier.com/debian/stretch/pool/main/z/zerotier-one/zerotier-one_1.8.10_mipsel.deb

Unfortunately the latest built version is 1.8.10. I don't know why there are no more recent versions..

I believe the only difference between the Debian repo and the Ubiquiti builds is the location of the config hardcoded to /config/zerotier-one instead of /var/lib/zerotier-one
