No release in over two years
There hasn't been a release in over two years. Is that a coincidence? It would be great to have new release particularly because curvezmq support was introduced.
@zeromq That is like stopper for me.
We develop in Java, if 0MZ does not update Java for every its release in 2 years (none for 4.x).
You should put this info on http://zeromq.org/bindings:java and stop misleading people.
ref #399
Any updates on this? What is there any alternative approach to use ZMQ in Java (I'm aware of both JZMQ and JeroMQ but they are both getting out of date)?
@aseychell the High-level C binding has a JNI binding (https://github.com/zeromq/czmq/tree/master/bindings/jni). The binding is available on bintray and jcenter (https://bintray.com/zeromq/maven/czmq-jni). You'll need to install libzmq and czmq before you're able to use the binding. I only tested it on linux but it should work on macos without problems not sure about windows though.
I am also interested in knowing if jzmq is going to be updated. I am having issues using this with 4.2.2, if I can help with anything please let me know. Not having the best of luck compiling my own, tests fail due to a missing XML.
