How to reload local extension in web app?

When I change my local extension's code, the web app doesn't reload the extension automatically like it does in the MacOS app. How can I get it to reload?

Even a script I can run in the dev console would be appreciated.

Or if the local extension was persisted between page reloads, reloading the web app would work for me.
