Possibility to adjust note hitboxes?

Just getting into Beat Saber and I notice I am not able to strike the top row when the direction is upwards. I'm pretty sure the tools probably don't allow dynamic modification of note hitboxes such that I wouldn't need to super-man my arm (perhaps I just need better technique?) but I saw this mod and had to wonder. :)
