Placeholder don't disappear on android swipe input

Steps for Reproduction

1. Visit https://codepen.io/alexkrolick/pen/xgyOXQ;
2. Set the Bold style
3. Input text using gboard swipe

Expected behavior: text will be written and placeholder will disapear.

Actual behavior: text writes in front of placeholder and disappear after space or something else

Platforms:

Android, Chrome, GBoard swipe
