Keeping for now - updater tests can be 4.2-only etc as we don't support older versions of Qubes.
A prerequisite for this is the ability to detect issues in the first place, see https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-workstation/issues/951 for one approach.
@rocodes and/or @deeplow - flagging for your attention, I think you had some notes on this.
Low-priority, but behavior should likely be new_vol = max (minimum, old_vol) to avoid this question entirely.
Staying in the picture, should be an easy win in an upcoming workstation release.

Planned changes to RiiRed proxyv3 could render the sd-proxy exfil route moot. We still need a plan for sd-app.
Keeping this one, this could either be implemented directly as described or with a wee GUI.
This issue and its dupes are a good example of convergent evolution at work!
