Reopening: https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop/issues/5236
The only difference is, that I am trying to open the link via vscode and not through terminal. When i open link i.e. from thunderbird, it opens in zenbrowser successfully.
Result of command ls /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/*.portal:
/usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/gnome-keyring.portal /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/gnome.portal /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/gtk.portal

Excuse me @dennemark
Does the issue #6989 happen to you too?
No it does not happen for me. Sorry :/
I clicked four times a link in vscode, which created four times an entry in htop with high cpu usage:
I've noticed this issue as well. When the browser is not already running, it takes a very long time (about 3 minutes) to open a link. When the browser is already running, it takes about 30 seconds. This problem occurs frequently when opening links through the Discord app, but it happens with all links.
Hi, @dennemark. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the desktop team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale.
Issue Summary:
- Significant delay when opening links from VSCode using ZenBrowser on Linux (Flatpak).
- Delay not observed with other applications like Thunderbird.
- High CPU usage noted when opening links; confirmed by another user, @DenisBeliant.
- Delay occurs especially when ZenBrowser is not already running, affecting other apps like Discord.
Next Steps:

This issue not only happens with discord but also things like github authentication or any sort of authentication that opens a link in the browser to continue auth. Zen team please try to fix this asap.
It also happens in slack but not in telegram nor the terminal, it's quite annoying, this is second issue reporting this that gets closed because it's "stale". Might open another one if this is still buried
