What happened?

When restarting the browser the "Prevent tab unload" option is not active on the tab it was activated on. This is not only very annoying, but also almost completely defeats the purpose of the feature. The browser gets restarted constantly y many workflows, especially during dev.

When I was in the middle of testing this issue, I realized that there seems to be no visible feedback when a tab is excluded from unloading through the Tabs Unloader Actions context menu, the option doesn't change or indicate the current state and the "Unload Tab" button still remains visible. This comes across as poor UX design, like an incomplete feature implementation.

It would be more intuitive if the menu item toggled between something like Prevent and Allow tab unload and if the unload option was disabled for tabs that are prevented from automatically unloading. The same could be said for excluded URLs (not tabs, which exists only in about:config), where there could be a visual indication in the URL address bar.

@santiagopuentep I can confirm that this is still an issue with version 1.13t.

I have version 1.12.8 and it says it's up-to-date. In this version the same problem exists. Is that a beta version?

@santiagopuentep Yes, Zen Browser is still in beta development. The t in 1.13t stands for Twilight, which refers to the nightly build of the browser.

The newest version of Zen doesn't have the prevent tab unload option anymore. It doesn't even let you choose that and if a tab is unloaded it doesn't show grayed out and there's no setting to do so.
