URL bar in sidebar transitions faster than the sidebar itself when enabling compact mode without floating mode

What happened?
In the screencast I'm enabling and disabling compact mode through the keyboard shortcut. First, I do it without enabling the floating mode, and you can see the URL bar goes into hiding faster than the rest of the sidebar. That's not quite true: it happens in about:* pages but retains the strange behaviour for a short time after moving to another tab.

The issue is still relevant in version 1.12.3b.
I don't see it on 1.12.5b (Win x64). Maybe worth a try updating?
Updated yesterday to 1.12.5b, and I usually check the changelog to see if something has been fixed even if there's no activity in the Github issues. I see it in 1.12.5b too:
