What happened?

I've installed zen on my new installation of NixOS, and I just noticed that sound does not play from any website except youtube, weirdly enough it was working just fine on my previous arch linux installation. Gotta add that i've installed it from this flake. I'm also pretty sure the audio is setup correctly, using pipewire with wireplumber, pulse and alsa enabled. Audio works on firefox

Expected behavior

For audio on all website to play

Actual behavior

Audio only plays on youtube

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install zen throught this flake
  2. Try to play audio on another website than youtube

Screenshots and videos

On the left is zen (sound not working) and on the right is firefox (sound working) with a random twitter video i found

Please try an installation using an official installer first. (From this Github repo, the zen website or Flathub)

this is an issue with a flake. Flathub installation works flawlessly. maybe, look into the flake code? you could also take a look at how Nixpkgs packages Firefox and how packaging Zen differs. I'd start by minimizing the difference in packaging.

true true, I thought it would be related to zen since i haven't seen anyone talk abt it in the flake's repo and i've seen ppl talking abt a similar issue on linux without being on nixos

Seems fixed in the flake by fixing the ffmpeg dependency (needs 7 or lower)
