Enlarge the terminal panel when in focus

Is there a way to enlarge the terminal panel when in focus and then move back to the original size when the editor tabs are in focus? Wanted to highlight the terminal in some way. Any other suggestions are also appreciated.

Probably not put up nicely earlier. Is it possible to have different font and panel sizes when the terminal panel is in focus as opposed to when it is not? Need to provide a visual clue to students that say when compiling a program, we need to move to the terminal panel to type commands.

Or something like a grayed out editor window when the terminal is focused.
