the posix limitation is mostly superficial, down to paths:

  • posix /tmp/whatever.io
  • windows C:\\temp\\whatever.io

This should now be fixed in #3. I don't have a windows machine available right at this moment, so testing would be welcome.

Thanks @Italic- - accepted PR, but can't find time to test atm. If anyone uses it on windows and it's broken i hope they'll let me/us know.
