Sharing nitter links that default to twitter links

Good day,

I have noticed on three different nitter nodes that when I click to share something on Signal, the twitter link is shared instead of the nitter link. Is this a bug in Nitter? Or has twitter done something to their feed to route more traffic back to their site?

For example, I click the share button in Brave on Android and then click Signal and the twitter link is shared instead of the nitter link. Same thing in Safari on iPadOS.

Not sure what's going on here, it used to share the nitter links.

Confirmed on Brave android. The problem is <link rel="canonical" href="<twitter link>"> This is not specific to Signal.
