Options for disabling various forms of media in a tweet

Open UserChristie1 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Good morning.

I have a request hereby to add the following options to the 'Display' and 'Media' sub-sections under the 'Preferences' section, if they are possible to execute :

  1. Hide the profile photo.
  2. Disable the reference media associated with the shared link to a third-party content (often in form of picture, title of the content, and a short introduction).
  3. Hide all forms of media associated with a tweet (image, audio, video).

I have attached screenshots of a sample account to illustrate the items mentioned in the above points.

With regards

This is a good idea. It could be used as a way to lower bandwidth consumption.

If images like 03 in your example could be hidden, it would be nice if it could instead display the URL of the image. That way, users could still choose to go look at the image if they wanted.
