Describe the feature

I generally expect to be able to pan around images by dragging with the mouse (which one of the mouse buttons varies a bit). Likewise, I expect to be able to zoom in/out by scrolling.

On a touchpad panning could also happen by scrolling and zooming by pinching.

Zooming and moving images is useful, even adding a magnifying glass as well as a color picker function

Only images? I like it also for text. I use it constantly in web browsers. The only IDE or code editor I know that supports pinch-zoom is Eclipse.
