In fact, judging from the gif, when you open a terminal, it will flash highly.
Environment
Zed: v0.124.4 (Zed Preview) OS: macOS 14.3.1 Memory: 16 GiB Architecture: aarch64

If you only need the most recent lines, you can run the zed: open log command palette action to see the last 1000.

I think the flickering is related to the same underlying issue as:
- https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/8207
Ill leave this open and once a fix is in place for #8207, we can see if it clears this bug up.
I think this may be fixed in v0.125.0-pre. Let's close this out and we can reopen it if it still exists.
It may actually be a separate issue from #8207, and we may want to reopen it and close #8708 in its favour.

Not sure if the underlying issue is the same or not, but this one is tracked in #8598.
I can reproduce the issue on
0.125.2.
