AI: "No language model configured" error after disabling and enabling AI again, and no way to turn it back

Summary

I have a free plan, and I disabled the AI features with the option "disable_ai": true time ago, and when I removed later the option from my ~/.config/zed file to turn it on again, it didn't work, if I open the "Agent Panel" and I ask a question, I get the "No language model configured" error, and I can't figure out how to make it work again like in the past.

Description

  1. Disable AI with "disable_ai": true.
  2. Then turn it back removing the option.

Expected Behavior: Zed free plan that includes some AI features works again. Actual Behavior: It doesn't work as mentioned in the description above, as you can see in the screenshots below, with my ~/.config/zed configuration file opened.

Here is what I get when I ask the agent something:

If I try to select a model, there is no model available as you can see below. I tried typing "zed" or "openai" and other things but nothing:

Then, as I show in the recording below, if I try to ask AI something inline while editing a file with Ctrl + Enter, it ask me to provide a model, now it shows me options, but I can't find an option to restore the "free" version, I can only add a paid subscription to other AI providers, or signup for the "Pro" plan with a trial, but there is no way to go back to the "free" plan.

Zed Version and System Specs

Zed: v0.213.3 (Zed) OS: Linux X11 ubuntu 24.04 Memory: 31 GiB Architecture: x86_64 GPU: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 (CFL GT2) || Intel open-source Mesa driver || Mesa 25.0.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.2

Although this problem started a few versions ago, but I just continued working without the AI features.
