Agent Panel: It is impossible to reset an Amazon bedrock key pair once they have been set.
Summary
It is impossible to reset an Amazon bedrock key pair once they have been set.
Description
From a fresh install input some dummy keys for an Amazon Bedrock Assistant. You now cannot modify them as the reset key button is inactive and displays a message.
Steps to trigger the problem:
- Enter an bedrock key and secret
- Try to press the reset key
- You cannot and a message "You cannot reset credentials as they're being derived, check Zed settings to understand how" is displayed in a pop up.
Checking zed settings, there is nothing about a bedrock key pair to change.
I have no ZED_AWS_* envs present
Actual Behavior: I am unable to change a bedrock key pair Expected Behavior: I am able to change a bedrock key pair
Zed Version and System Specs
Zed: v0.181.6 (Zed) OS: macOS 15.4.0 Memory: 16 GiB Architecture: aarch64
I can reproduce. There is currently no validation of keys and if you enter invalid ones there is no way to reset the authentication flow in-app and try again.
As a workaround you can manually delete the "https://amazonaws.com" entry in Keychain Access and restart Zed.
