Thanks for this, this was the one holdover I had keeping me for switching over completely from VSCode for heavy C++ codebases. Hope it gets merged soon!

Afraid to nudge, but can we get this PR merged? I've been using the build from this branch for a few days, and I think the signature help has generally improved, including other improvements like the documentation display. On the other hand, things like the icon display definitely seem to have room for improvement.

I reran this almost 2 months after the initial review and still see the same crippled icon

and most of the feedback seems to be unattended still + some conflicts had appeared.

Will close it as stale for now, but this is definitely something we should do eventually.
