clicking relative file paths in terminal opens ghost files in project panel

Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

when a relative file path going up the tree (../etcetc) is clicked in the terminal (ctrl + click), the file isn't opened, instead a new "ghost" file is inserted in the project panel, clicking it displays an error. refer to the video below. the git status of the file is displayed correctly on the ghost files which is interesting
