"File > Save as template" -> save the configuration (without tracks) as a template in a special template folder inside the configuration folder. Ask for a template name that is used as the file name.

When creating a new animation (after start or "File > New"), check if there are saved templates. If yes, display a template selection. Load the template as default for the new animation.
