[Help] RTSP stream line skipping very fast.

Open procobain opened this issue 6 months ago • 5 comments

I have two Dahua 4300s IP cameras, and I've been using QMP2 to watch them for some time now.

However, after an update a while ago, it became very difficult to watch, simply because if the camera fails for a few milliseconds or seconds, the playlist simply skips to the next item. It's as if the player understands that the video is over or there is no more response, and it skips to the next one.

It wasn't like that before, could it be that some default parameter was changed?

My line is this: rtsp://USER:[email protected]:PORT/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

Cheers.

Which QMPlay2 version is working correctly?

I didn't get to see what started this problem, I don't use qmplay daily to view my cameras, just as a normal video player, it turns out that when I needed to use it I came across this problem...

  1. Go to Settings -> Modules -> FFmpeg and test this: Image
  2. Download and install older releases and check it.

It can be QMPlay2 and/or FFmpeg issue. I can't fix it without reproducing the issue.

Do you use Linux or Windows or macOS?

I use Arch Linux, updated weekly...

I opened qmplay2 with a new folder in ~/.config, but the same problem persisted...

I had already tried the option you suggested. I also significantly increased some buffering settings, such as local, network, and live stream. I tried many other settings here, but nothing.

I need to test it locally, do you know any public rtsp streams which can reproduce the issue?

However, after an update a while ago

Could you bisect (if it's QMPlay2 but not FFmpeg issue)?
