Standalone plugins: how to set parameters?

When running a standalone version of a plugin, let's say ZaMultiCompX2 executable, how it's possible to set plugin parameters/preset?

or alternatively, could you point out how to statically build one specific standalone plugin, but overriding its default preset?

If you have the dpf libgl dependencies, it will build a UI as well...

i mean to load preset, not just set all the parameters manually

but i've already found a solution for this usecase, to use lightweight vst host like Carla
