Hi there as gin-gonic currently lacks in active development (at least it looks like that to me) we should consider to open this project to a wider audience and provide middle ware for others frameworks too.

Hi! I agree that Gin is slowed down a bit in development, because it just works and has a pretty good documentation. There are pending pull requests, but they are merging them, so there is active development on the develop branch, see https://github.com/gin-gonic/gin/tree/develop . Latest change 3 hours ago. I am fine with your suggestion to open it to net/http middleware handlers, such that more people, that do not want to use Gin, can our middleware projects.
