I had the same issue. Tried to install in a cpanel shared hosting with WHM access. Tried both in subdir and public_html. Pasted the error from api error log in...

i think this issue is also posted under https://github.com/kiswa/TaskBoard/issues/607 differently described. editing spaces seems to fix it, cant say for more than my test.

Would be glad to help with testing, if there was a build to download. :)
