Trilium Version

0.61.13

What operating system are you using?

Windows

What is your setup?

Local (no sync)

Operating System Version

Windows

Description

Thank you for releasing version 0.61 of trilium, but I cannot integrate the documents into the notes, because when dragging and dropping they are only displayed in the form of links leading to the documents by clicking on them, but it is impossible to display them on the current note (Only images are displayed on the note by dragging and dropping)

However, I know that it is possible to display documents by integrating a complete note with the "small; medium; full" options, but not for documents integrated directly into a note.

Is it possible to fix this bug?

Error logs

No response

I also encounter the same problem, but I think that @zadam intentionally provided this mode of operation. I hope an update to a full integration of attachments will be made, not just links to content

Well, this is a feature request, not a bug report.

It's not clear to me - how would you like the non-image attachments to be displayed? We have support for PDF - that would work. But what else?

Hello, I would like the attachments to be displayed like this:

Sélection_103

In the screenshot above, I use the integration of notes containing different files (video, audio and archive), the audio and video file has a reader integrated into trilium to read their contents, the archive file is also displayed offering to download or open the file. But when I directly integrate the attachments into the current note, they simply create links, but it is impossible to read the files on the current note!

Can you make the files readable directly on the current note when importing files with integration directly into the note?

Is this feature under development?

@zadam didn't respond to my post, but hope he's working on this feature

Good morning. I would also be interested in this feature, because I was using the overlay of notes inside other notes to have the trilium video player in my main notes. But with the integration of files directly into the notes, a simple URL is created and it is impossible to integrate the files into the main note as with images. Would it be possible to correct this problem?

As you probably partially know already, this functionality is already mostly supported using the Include feature: image

To use this feature, click the block menu and choose "include note" and choose your attachment that you want to be displayed: image

The attachment must be in your Trilium note tree somewhere, but it can be anywhere, so if you don't want it to show up under the note you are editing, then you can create an Assets note or something similar to contain all the files you want to embed in other notes using the include feature.

A related issue that would probably also help your situation if it is implemented: https://github.com/zadam/trilium/issues/4134
