(Bug report) Broken/Inconsistent Canvas Features

Open Chickenkeeper opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Trilium Version

0.59.1

What operating system are you using?

Windows

What is your setup?

Local (no sync)

Operating System Version

Windows 10 version 21H2

Description

  • The menu button on the top left of the canvas doesn't do anything
  • The keymap shows the keybindings for Zen mode, Show grid, View mode, and Toggle theme, but none of them work
  • The note export dialogue asks you to choose between an HTML or Markdown file instead of the JSON file it will export instead, and to access PNG or SVG export you have to right click the canvas and paste the result elsewhere
  • Version 0.58.8 of Trilium allowed the background colour of a canvas to be changed, but this option is no longer available in 0.59.1

Error logs

No response

+1 On the show grid feature, pretty essential to be able to use the grid

Also, sometimes some changes are not saved. No error, just that if I move to another note and come back to the canvas, I see some changes I did just before are lost.

Note: A difference I may have with @Chickenkeeper is that I have Trilium in a Docker instance, but I connect directly through LAN, not through internet.

I remember that there was an issue with excalidraw that some adjustments did not produce "change" event, so they were not persisted. Not sure if this is the same issue.

Regarding the whole issue - I will revisit the excalidraw integration in the future. When it was integrated originally a lot of things were difficult to fix - e.g. hiding options which don't make sense in certain integration contexts was not supported. Things might be better now, but will have to look.
