"Space" is not working for auto complete

Example: I have the auto complete name list like "John Conner", When I type "J" the auto complete listed down, which is correct, and then I typed "ohn" the auto complete still appeared, which is correct. Then followed by a "space", the auto complete disappeared. But this does not happen in the original http://podio.github.io/jquery-mentions-input/ code. Anyone can help me on this?
