App stops working in background

The app gets kicked to inactive/dormant state frequently, despite the accesibility and battery settings. Then it stops working on lockscreen until it wakes up again.

In accesibility it shows as "Not working" and in details "This service is malfunctioning" (see attached screenshots).

Maybe running the app in the foreground could help? Maybe also combined with aggressive restarts? The latter possibly triggered by some lockscreen event? Just hypothesizing...
