Some issues to do with food.
(But not only to do with food)
Essentially, food resources get up to ridiculous amounts. Some ways I've thought to solve this are:
- Cap the food resource
- Slow down food increase on an inverse square rule
- Limit the number of farmers (irrelevant atm)
Also, if you watch the date in the top right and see how quickly the population changes, it certainly seems like the population changes much too quickly. This is a result of #39, I believe.

Another bug with food: the new code that kills people off when there's not enough food seems to be broken. It's killing off all the inhabitants of the entire solar system within a minute or so of starting the game.
we don't need this new code now that the food is calculated with an inverse square function
