Idea: Set name when creating map with /tomap

Open DrPepplies opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

It's a bit repetitive to create a map with /tomap or /maptool, then have to open the inventory and click rename to give it a name.

It'd be nice to be able to include a name as part of the commands to make maps.

Something like /tomap URL resize-covered X Y "NAME" but i'm scared of the length of the command. Maybe using the image's name by default could be a good addition too. (Of course by adding an ID if a name is already used) Will add this to a next big update good idea and thanks for the suggestion.

I think using the image's base name would be a good idea. For example the map created from https://example.org/cat.png would be named cat. If another map with the same name already exists, a number could be appended, like cat-1, cat-2, etc.
