Pikmin 3 Deluxe (Nintendo Switch) Crash at End of Tutorial with Whitescreen

Hi,

I just tried to play Pikmin 3 Deluxe with Update 1.1 (both NSP and XCI).

  • Pikmin 3 Deluxe[0100F4C009322000][US][v0].nsp
  • Pikmin 3 Deluxe[0100F4C009322800][US][v65536][CR-36].nsp (Update 1.1 installed)

Right after the Tutorial it crashes with a whitescreen.

Some Google research lead me to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/yuzu/comments/kkgdkw/pikmin_3_crash/

Seems to be a systematic problem and happening to many people.

Would be very nice, if it could be fixed

short update:

in yuzu Early Access (for example Early Access 1375), this bug does not occur anymore. It does however in the normal build.

Update2: for some weird reason:

no crashes up to (for me day10), when getting the smartphone from the earthworm. -> crashes again exactly at the same white screen like with tutorial after end of day right prior to saving. I repeated and it was again the same moment (YUZU Early Access 1375)

Could you please also post a log file and more info on your system here? It's hard to diagnose the issue otherwise.

This appears to be a crash related to the KopPad in the game - I get a crash to desktop (no white screen) any time the KopPad appears in Co-Op mode. I can bypass the event in single player, and if I then switch to Co-Op in the same level, I can continue until the end of the day. On the beginning of the next day, the crash returns.

If this crash could be mitigated, Pikmin is running amazingly well and nearly all graphics and audio effects are complete. I can split this to a second issue if that makes tracking it easier - I'm just pretty sure the KopPad and the tutorial issue are the same bug.

just tried again with Yuzu Early 2062. Still exactly the same issue.

@ericdallo how did you fix this bug using Ryuninx? Did you simply switch to the other emulator, or were you somehow able to create a save file, where the bug is not occuring anymore?
