gsctool unrecognized options
Hello,
Trying to setup a new Pixelbook, and when using "gsctool -a --ccd_open" I get "unrecognized option" for both -a and --ccd_open options. I also tried gsctool -a --ccd_info with the same result, "unrecognized option".
gsctool command is recognized, but it seems my option list is different than the options listed in the instructions.
This is a brand new pixelbook received 6/12/19, could there be a newer version of gsctool shipping with different option flags?
Just wanted to update. The only options I was receiving in gsctool were:
-b, --binvers Report versions of images RW and RO headers, do not update -c, --corrupt Corrupt the inactive rw -d, --device VID:PID USB device (default 18d1:5014) -f, --fwver Report running firmware versions -h, --help Show this message -i, --board_id [ID[:FLAGS]] Get or set Info1 board ID fields ID could be 32 bit hex or 4 character string -p, --password Set or clear CCD password. Use 'clear' to clear it. -p, --post_reset Request post reset after transfer -r, --rma_auth [[auth_code|"disable"] Request RMA challenge, process RMA authentication code or disable RMA state -s, --systemdev Use /dev/tpm0 (-d is ignored) -t, --trunks_send Use 'trunks_send --raw' (-d is ignored) -u --upstart Upstart mode (strict header checks)
At some point I managed to lock myself out of developer mode, so I performed a system recovery as a last resort using chromebox recovery utility. Once the system was restored, I performed the procedure again and the gsctool accepted the -a and -o options. The procedure went smoothly from there. Installing full Linux OS now.
This seems to be an issue with Chrome OS that was fixed. I also got a brand new i7 and it came with gsctool that behaved this way. I didn't have to restore though -- just updating Chrome OS brought back the usual gsctool options.
