Game crashes when fullscreen

Possible workarounds (to avoid infinite crash loop):

• set fullscreen:false in options.txt
• use Not Enough Crashes mod to prevent game from closing

However, it does not solve the issue itself... It would be nice to play in a true fullscreen mode. For example, if you want to set a custom resolution.

Any ideas on this?

I am having this same issue on 1.17, perhaps may it be because of Metal 4.1? (Minecraft 1.16 uses metal 2.1 and there is no problem when enabling fullscreen mode).

Ya same. Metal 2.1 for version 1.16.5 works fine. But metal 4.1 for version 1.17.1 crashes. Does anyone know a way around this?

Same issue with 1.18 and Zulu 17 on M1 Pro.
