[Feature-request] Challenge/Puzzle to dismiss the alarm
Hi, I would like to make a suggestion: Is it possible to add a challenge/puzzle so that the alarm is turned off only after the challange is solved?
There are many alarms with this feature in the Play Store but none of them are Open Source and usually they are full of ads. In all the Apps I've tested, the challenges are usually just a random math challenge, a puzzle for random colors to be pressed or something like this. I believe that a feature like this go against the name and philosophy of this App (Simple Alarm Clock), but it is very useful for those who have trouble waking up (like me, for example, I often turn off the alarm practically asleep and when I do wake up I am totally out of time).
I saw that this App has the feature of "longclick" so that the alarm is not turned off by accident, but from what I could see, it must be a delay of something around only 2 seconds, and I believe that this is not enough to wake me up, but this App seems to be the only Open Source alarm that works on my Android and that the repository is active, so I will test it in the next few days as my default alarm even without a feature like that.
What do you think about this?
Thank you, Willder
Hello, I was actually planning to add a feature "triple tap for dismiss" which would require to click on the button 3 times withing a second or so. I don't have anything against puzzles per se, if you have a good idea how it would look like, I would appreciate if you share. The user should be able to switch it off in the settings. Best regards, Yuriy

Hello,
A triple tap for dismiss also looks good and it should be easier to implement.
The ideas I had before starting to test were similar to what I found in the Apps on the Play Store, but I don't know what the difficulty would be for it to be implemented in Simple Alarm Clock.
A puzzle, for example, would look something like this: when the alarm sounds with the feature activated, instead of the "dismiss" or "snooze" button, a message is displayed on the screen: "touch the red buttons to dismiss or snooze the alarm" (the color and the message are an example), and below would appear circles or squares with random colors, and after the user touches the corresponding buttons, the "dismiss" and "snooze" buttons would be displayed.
Or instead, a mathematical calculation also seems very useful: when the alarm sounds it can display the current time and below a random addition or subtraction ("46 + 19 = ", for example), followed by a numeric keypad and the "dismiss" and "snooze" buttons. The buttons would only work when the result entered is correct. I think that to wake the mind to solves the problem, the mathematical challenge seems more effective than the puzzle.
I’m not a developer and I have no idea what effort is required for something like this to be implemented, so I believe that any feature that ensures that the user needs is actually awake to solve would be useful and, from what I could see on the Play Store, there are many users who need a feature like this to wake up.
Thank you, Willder
I like the idea with colored buttons. Such things are not hard to implement. It is an isolated feature in an isolated component. I think most of the effort would go into making the layout with 8 buttons.

Great to hear that, thank you! I hope you can implement it in the future. I'm still trying to learn how GitHub works, but if in the future I can master it and you need help with the Brazilian Portuguese translations, let me know, I'm here to help. My English is not good but I have already translated some projects in the past (not here on GitHub, but editing the files directly and then on translation platforms) and since sentences are usually simple, I believe the translation is accurate. I came to GitHub to try to help at least translating some projects in my free time.

Hello, just trying to switch over to Lineage without Google Play and this is a must have for me. A triple tab will not be enough to wake me up surely ;) I would be very happy if you could add this challenge/puzzle feature.
@yuriykulikov how about a grid of buttons (e.g. 3x3/5x5/7x7) were the buttons flash up in an random sequence and the user has to repeat the sequence to switch off the alarm or to snooze. The grid size, speed and lenght of the sequence could be configurable...
Hi, I would love to see problems for wakeup. Like others here, I have a hard time waking up without those. But instead of talking about the specific problems, I've got a different suggestion - Create a general GUI for choosing a problem in the alarm, but let the choices be from community made problem generators. At the very least, I'm more than willing to create a few generators, but I have no knowledge of app or GUI development, which is why I like this idea ;) IDK if this is going too much beyond the goal of simplicity though, if it is, do you know of other projects that would fit this better?
