No Voice Search on 4K Firestick

Hi, using Smart YoutubeTV app v6.17.284 on a 4K Firestick.

After initial installation of the Smart Youtube app, it asks if I want to enable Voice Search, and I say yes and it then installs some sort of additional "bridge" apk. But the Voice Search still doesn't work. I go to Search on the Smart YoutubeTV app and then press the microphone button on the Firestick remote, I say what I want to search on Youtube but instead of searching Youtube it searches my stick.

Stick supports only global voice search. In-app search isn't allowed.

Thanks for your reply... so you're saying it's only the stick that doesn't allow me to voice search youtube? Even though the "official" youtube app has that ability?

Thank you Yuriy. It still doesn't seem to work on firestick 4k. Alexa takes over always. If you say search youtube it wants to go download youtube original app from cloud.
