Smart TV/Box

Affected Android

Android TV 14

Steps to reproduce the bug

When watching videos on smarttube I am constantly getting disconnected from Wi-Fi. It only happens when using smart tube and not any other app. The video will appear to buffer but really the Onn device has actually disconnected from Wi-Fi and I have to wait a few minutes for it to reconnect. Am I the only one having this issue?

Currently using an Onn 4K (Non pro/plus) box and not experiencing this issue, however I did have WiFi disconnection issues with just the Onn Box and nothing else earlier this year, not sure what I changed or did but they've stopped in the last few months.

I had similar issues, I was in the middle of watching videos and suddenly I was getting an error message on multiple devices, (Nvidia Shield Android 9 and Onn-Google-TV Android 12) It would drop my wifi connection and throw the error, I tried a VPN and it would play just fine without disconnecting the app from the wifi. Disconnected from the VPN and still was getting the error, Later on it started to work properly after using the VPN and disconnecting multiple times. This is the error I was presented with on multiple devices

I believe that's the same error I keep getting but I'm never quick enough to get a picture. I'm not using a VPN currently so maybe I'll try that and see if it helps.

If the wifi connection is dropped, can someone check the logs in the router for a reason for this drop? It could be heavy traffic or misuse of certain protocols.
