I noticed this in the stable version too, but since I'm fairly new to ST(I'm just now trying out the beta), I thought it was just an artifact of the sound decoder/BT codec in the player. BTW, it was made somewhat less obvious by setting the player (software) volume down to 80%, but of course didn't disappear.
To me, it sounds like the Bits per Sample being truncated (eg. only 15 MSB of 16bits/sample), a slight mismatch/drift of the Bluetooth Sample Rate (44.1/48kHz), or another similar error in the A2DP software profile that I've sometimes heard in older BT versions when rendering newer, updated audio codecs.
Given that this is free, independently developed software, I'm NOT complaining!
Might be relatively easy to fix though, if there's an updated/updateable codec module (in the code which I haven't completely read through yet😬), or simply a misattributed argument/variable (update artifact).
I wish I had a bit more time to help squash bugs because this program is impressive!
