Steps to reproduce the bug
Some videos have ok volume but some are very loud. I tried with volume normalizatiom in settings but nonluck.
Actual behavior
No response
Additional information
No response
Auto adjustment turned on but it silences some videos. Like this for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJMByIk-zGg
When I increase volume other videos are insanely loud. This was not present in older versions.
Example of smarttube with insane loud sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RD4bRovHSo
Basically you can't listen to both without changing volume
I think youtube's "stable volume" feature which boosts the bolume is being enabled here. please add an option to turn it off.
I've been noticing this myself recently. It's really annoying when wathcing videos from the same channel and its suddenly super loud in the next video
EDIT 02 July 2025 - nevermind, issue has returned
I had the same problem, but also have issues with clipping (crackling audio). Totally inconsistent though, some videos are fine (but soft) and some are problematic
I downgraded to version 27.03 and issue went away. I've then upgraded direct (in app) to the latest stable (27.99) and its working fine again 🥳

Please fix, thanks.
