Steps to reproduce the bug
On HOME tab, only shows 1.row of recommended videos. Before it would should multiple rows of different video recommendations.

I have been having the same issue. The screen reported that I had to turn history on in YouTube, which was already turned on. As an experiment I cleared my YouTube history and not fixed it for about a day and a half. Then it went back to the same issue where nothing was listed.
I have the same issue. Only 1 row appears on the Home tab. I have SmartTube on two TVs and both have this issue.

Mine happened out of the blue without any upgrade taking place.
No. I went back to v26.96, but it didn't fix anything. The latest beta builds beyond 27.03 don't fix the issue either.
Perhaps it's an API change Google implemented, which has limited our home screen content.
Same issue here. (Currently on version 27.27)
I did not update or do anything out of the ordinary and all of a sudden I am back to normal HOME tab behavior. Multiple rows of suggested videos now
Same it was fine just a little bit ago all the sudden nothing on my Home tab except for recommended it's been happening for the past week and a half now on and off

What fixes it is to open the normal/official Youtube app and you will see on the main screen an area that says "Refresh". Click it to refresh and then close the app.
Now everything will appear on SmartTube.

Can confirm. Scroll to the very bottom of the home screen content to find the refresh button.
Maybe, in a future version, it'll be possible to send the "refresh" request when we click the "Home" button so this is automatically handled.

I've tried:

Yeah they keep messing this thing up I got my information back but for some reason it just keeps crashing

Edit: visited the folks today. Mine and their accounts are on the same firestick in the same smart tube app. Their accounts work fine, but mine doesn't, so it is definately something on my own account that breaks on this app.
The only thing I did about 3 weeks ago was I had accidentally said "don't recommend channel" on one that I like a year ago, and so 3 weeks ago I followed these instructions to cancel it. At this rate, I might have to make a new YouTube account.

I tried hitting Refresh in the YouTube app and all it did was give me a second row of Shorts. The rest of the content is still missing. Sony Bravia TV.
Hi all, just an update, I've managed to get all of my home page working again finally. I had YouTube before it was part of google, so with made up names, let's say my original account was called "coffee" and my later google linked account was [email protected].
When I go to settings>account>select account, there are 3 options:
- John ([email protected])
- Coffee
- Coffee ([email protected])
The third option was selected, I chose the second option and then my home page went back to normal. Hopefully this helps someone.
Guys, if I am the only one who was missing this obvious fact, I apologize. But here's what happened to me. My son removed "Home" by long pressing the home symbol and choosing "Remove from the sidebar". I just found out much later what actually happened.
How to fix it: SmartTube > Settings > General > Set-up sections > Check "Home"
Same issue here across devices, stable and beta version across the same account. Just three rows on home like others have reported for recommended, shorts and top channels you watch. Sometimes I see two rows of shorts for a total of four rows. It has been like this for weeks.
Similar to me. Android TV 11, last stable Smarttube. On the guest account it's full of rows. On the signed in account I get 2: "recommended " and "top channels that you watch"

So I have the same issue, and I can confirm that technically, what you suggested above works but it is very less than ideal.
I have a simillar situation and can show this happening on one account but not others - My SmartTube app has 3 accounts in the "Accounts" settings:
- My YouTube username (no email)
- My Name ([email protected])
- My wifes YouTube username (no email)
**Note that 1 and 2 are not seperate accounts from my perspective - Both show up when logging in using my single, regular Google account.
Both my "[email protected]" (# 2) account and my wifes "YT Username" (# 3) do not have this issue and have many rows of content available outside of the 3 everyone are mentioning. Re-login did not help, other methods in this thread did not work as well.

Yes, it is not ideal at all. For some reason, I was only missing like a year of history so not sure why that is, I don't recall changing anything. So I've been often selecting "mark as watched" when I recognise one I've seen. I also like every video even if I'm neutral about it so I know I've watched it as YouTube will forget and suggest videos to me I've already watched. Finally after a month or so, the algorithm is getting back to where it was.

I have all my side tabs and everything but I can't even go in there and watch anything without it buffering or it knocks me out of whatever I'm watching or there's constantly unknown error I don't know why they can't just leave stuff alone they got to update stuff and mess stuff up in the process I'm going to take some forever to fix it

Just curious, this is fixed for everyone now, correct? If so, it appears YouTube switched something back on their end.
Yeah it's fixed for me now except the crashing still happens I could be watching something and it'll just buffer the crap out of it and then knock me out and it's not my internet I checked because anything else I watch any app any programs it doesn't matter it's only smart tube that does it
