True. I don't how to fix it. Google blocked the API I used before.
I'm experiencing the same issue. Playlists seen in official Youtube platform are different from SmartTube. I created some playlists in SmartTube and seems to be stored locally. In addition, if I create a playlist in the official Youtube, this is not appearing in SmartTube.

Same happened with me and my playlist has many videos which might be lost if not synced soon. Any temporary fix or other workaround to atleat sync that playlist to my youtube account to save it from losing?

All true for me except playlists created on official youtube are visible for me on smartube too. That issue is fixed for me

Google blocked the only api ?!! Thats alarming, is that a start of dismantling of all third party youtube clients ? WE need to save this smartube platform atleast
Can confirm that this problem still persists until today. The playlist created inside SmartTube is only stored locally in that device only, so the playlist won't be saved to your Google account thus resulting in opening SmartTube in different device (loading from Google Account) will not show the playlist in previous device.
Confirming persistence. Unfortunately, because my SmartTube playlists were lost in the recent switch to the new app/key. This is very frustrating, as I had quite a few videos in them. If we can no longer sync with our YouTube accounts, please provide a way to easily export/back-up playlists.
Issue still present sadly. Very sadly. Found out after created few playlist with lost of videos..............
Unfortuantely, true. I've added a warning about that recently.

the api isn't accessible anymore, but I can add a way to copy locally stored playlist to any one (pre created on the official app)

Would we be able to use it with the old version of the app? After double-checking, it seems that the old installation is still there (in some fashion), just made inaccessible.

Would like that. As I have many videos there so It would make transistion easier.

I see Smarttube gives a clear message when creating a local playlist. But in the section Playlists it's not visible which lists are local. Maybe put a label under the name "(local list)" or something to note that that list is only available on that device.
Are these local lists copied with a backup/restore?

All data are backed up, including the so called local playlists. I'll add the label

Thanks. BTW That would mean if you do a backup on one device and restore on another, you might override the local lists of that last one. So if you made changes there, those will be lost (won't they?).
Copy of one lists videos to an online one would indeed be useful so I can copy them there and remove my local lists, and never create them again with the app, only on yt itself, so this won't ever happen.

Yes, unfortunately it's true
