I commented on your previous bug report of this exact issue. Not sure if you seen it. Maybe check these settings
I browsed the settings and noticed the "Network engine" was changed from what I have originally set it to, I usually have it set to either default or Cronet, I have never set it to OkHttp because it's so slow as it states in the settings menu. But it was set automatically to Default after an update, I restored to a recent backup, Which was set to Cronet, Maybe check to make sure yours wasn't changed at some point Settings > Player > Network engine Changing it back improved the startup of a video Changing the Network engine to Cronet helped on my end.
Plz compare v22.95 then any latest version, you see v22.95 is better performance then others version
